Fill the Jars with Water

Description
A servant’s hand tilts a clay vessel, pouring clear water into a large stone jar in obedience to the command of Jesus at the wedding in Cana. The close view centers on the humble act before the miracle: ordinary water being drawn and poured, moments before Christ reveals His glory by turning it into wine. In John 2:7-11, the sign begins not with spectacle but with faithful service—“Fill the jars with water.” The overflowing stream points to Christ’s authority over creation, His blessing upon the wedding feast, and the abundance of the new covenant joy He brings. This artwork is especially suited for teaching on the wedding at Cana, Christian marriage, obedience, miracles, and the first sign of Jesus’ public ministry.
